This piece is made entirely by hand, using responsibly and locally sourced sheesham or Indian Rosewood (Dalbergia sissoo) which is seasoned over a period of time using traditional methods. The piece is then hand turned on a lathe machine. Once completed the craftsperson begins gently engraving and scooping out the patterns using hand tools, slowly drawing out the natural beauty of the grain. The raw piece is then sanded and polished using an edible linseed oil before it is left to dry naturally. Each piece is worked on over a period of days.
Inspired by the spinning top, the Kama Crusher is best used to crush fresh pepper corns or sea salt.
